How to Send a Gift to Someone in Nigeria From Abroad
A checklist for friends and family in the diaspora who want the right person to receive the right amount.

Sending a gift home should be joyful, but exchange rates, card support and fake payment links can make it stressful. Start with a link sent by the person you know and confirm the domain before entering payment details.
Check the amount shown in naira and the final amount your card will be charged. Your bank may add its own foreign-card or exchange fee.
Confirm what the recipient receives
A clear checkout should separate the gift amount from any processing or platform charge. Read that summary before paying so you know what reaches the recipient.
Keep the payment confirmation and the working Receipt link. Do not send card numbers, passwords or one-time codes through WhatsApp or email.
If your card does not work
Do not repeat the payment many times without checking your bank. Look for a failed or pending message, then contact the platform through its official support channel.
